VoIP test tools

Hi all,

Hoping you can help. I heard there is a tool from Avaya that you can plug into your LAN and it will act like its making Voice calls; you can monitor how your existing LAN handles calls. Basically you are supposed to be able to use this tool so you can see the impact VoIP has. Anyone know what this tool is called or where I can get more info? Or suggestions for something like what I described? Thanks in advance for your help!
