So, here's what I have. I have a meridian option 11c, with mostly type 2008 and 2616 handsets. I'm now starting to look into what kind of VOIP options I have to integrate with what I already have in place. I'm looking around on skype.com and there seems to be some interesting products out there, most notably being the VoSKY Exchange. Does anyone have any experience with these products on old digital PBX's? Does anyone have a voip/regular digital pbx hybrid set up? For the short term, I'd like to look at getting my conference phones on an IP network to cut costs, and that I think I can do with a mix of WiFi enabled phones + bluetooth polycom basestations(one at each location).

Anyways, sorry for the generic theoretical post, I just figured I'd throw it out there and see what people's thoughts are? I'm also wondering if there may be some possibility of integrating some of this with say an asterix VM appliance?

Thoughts? Am I mad? Anyone see any of this as being possible? Feel free to tell me to bugger off! :)

You can add an IP Line card to your "old digital PBX" and starting using IP Phones (hard, soft, wireless, conference) from Nortel.
