I have a 1751 connecting via vpn to an ASA510. The 1751 has a voip card in it and i have a router behind the asa with a voice card in it. Will the voice work over the vpn tunnel.
Currently we have Cisco 1751 routers with dual port Voice FXS Interfaces connecting back to our office via fraction T1 lines. The office side is a Cisco 3745 with the voice interface and also a T1 card crossover into are phone system. This works great for the stores to call the office and store to store calls over the network. As a test i have installed a vpn module in one of the 1751 and have it connecting Via vpn back to our office to a Cisco ASA5510. My question is can i have the voice card installed is this router, or must it be in a device behind the router.
