With 4.2 and prior we programmed direct voicemail transfer with a short code format of:
code: *xxxx
Feature: Voicemail Collect
Tel #: #N
with 5.0 the system AUTOMATICALLY adds quotes to the tel number field, ex. "#N" it does not work, it sends you to the voicemail login prompt upon transfer - is there a workaround?

like Tom said.

and FYI - there is a thread already on this subject from just a day ago.

Thanks - did'nt think to move the quotes as every time I deleted them the system would add them back.

that was a "quirk", you can get around it by changing the feature from voicemail collect, hitting ok, so no quotes are in the wrong place, then change the feature back to voicemail collect.

See what my brain does when it's not thinking about phones.

be carefull doing that. I was doing that and then did an upgrade and you have to go back and touch all of those shortcodes again... much better to put the quotes in
I usually just do this
""#N
but I can see where "#"N is the same ...

Because the " " are used now and are needed
