Hello

i have voicemail pro with auto attendant all selctor codes work but when using dial by name directory the extension entered via name just transfers to Ext 200 and not the callers mailbox....thoughts?

Among other considerations, subscribers must have their names recorded before it will transfer a call to their extension.

In the transfer action for your dial by name directory, in the specific tab, the destination should be $KEY. Make sure thats what you have.

As crumthwacket said, the users need to record their names in their mailboxes in order to be included in the dial by name directory.

In working with VM Pro 4.1(27) and ever so often, it will go off line...saying the session has expired. I can find no reference to this. Does anyone have an answer or a reason on what makes this action transpire?

there is a setting in the preferences for the timeout

its a secuirty/user policy so that if another client is installed at say a pc it will timeout so another admin can access the Module

press F9 when you are in the VM Pro client and adjust the timeout it is by default 5 minutes you can set it to something like 60 minutes and you should be fine.
