Is there anyway to make the voicemail pro listen for a longer duration of silence as we have some users who are pausing during a recording and it accepts it as being completed .....they in turn have to call back to complete the message ....what is the default ?

cheers:)

Avayauser, I used to have this issue on 2.1 and Avaya sent me a document to extend the silence via the registry settings on VMPro. I tested it on my lab running 3.1.18 (VM Pro) and the registry setting is gone and the recording doesnt stop after 10 seconds (Default) anymore. Avaya may have removed the restriction to stop the recording if there is 10 seconds of silence detected.

Here are the instructions I received for extending the Silence detected...
Add a Registry key like "SilenceLimit" in the registry

Start > Run> regedit

under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Network Alchemy\\Voicemail\\Directories.

right click and new

Data Type for "SilenceLimit" is String value.

Double click on this new value name

Put in for Value Data 7200000

Set the default value for SilenceLimit is 10000 (10 seconds). If you want to increase the maximum recording SilenceLimit to 2 minutes then set the SilenceLimit is 7200000 (2 minutes).
