Hi All

I have a strange one. I am using a generic action to get a hunt group service mode state and routing calls by this result. However, it doesn't work. Instead in debug view I get retrieved value NULL. I have tried it on a different hunt group, recreated the voicemail pro from scratch and built a new module. Version of ipo is 5.0.26 and vm is 5.0.30. have tried upgrading the vm to 6 but didnt' solve.

thanks
dave

Have this ever worked on this particular system??

Kind regards

Gunnar

yes, always. i actually built the module on a v9 system and imported it but didn't work. i then assumed because it was built this way, that was the issue so i rebuilt from scratch.

I am not sure but i think you need to use the free format on that release.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Had to look it up[smile]

According to the installation docs for 5.0.30 VMPro, this is a valid generic action. No need for free format.

Have you tried other Get functions, like Voicemail on/off on a user?

Kind regards

Gunnar

no, hadn't actually. you know I'm just going to reboot the ipo, it doesn't make sense that it isn't working.

No, it doesn't make any sense, unless there is something between the IPO and VMPro blocking your requests. (firewall on the IPO, security settings...)

If you don't know it already:
User/Hunt Group changes made with Generic actions can be found in "AuditTrail.txt"
(C:\\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Logs\AuditTrail.txt)

Kind regards

thanks Gunnaro, didn't even think of firewall. let me check that....

no, not firewall, and only think that log is on later versions. the dbsrv is the only log that is outputted. anyway, debug view shows that it runs the module just returns NULL. reboot:)

The file will be there once you crate and run a module that SET anything on a User or Hunt Group.

I just installed a fresh VMPro 5.0.30 on one of my servers, works just fine on IPO R5.0, R7.0 and R8.1
What more did the traces tell, other than NULL.

If you have a spare PC, try installing on that and test.

Kind regards

Gunnar

ah, i see. im only using a get for now, and that doesn't work. debug shows full call flow as normal but just the result from the get is NULL. It then does my checks using this value. let me do a reboot now:)

With the get do you have something that does convert the $sav?

It's working on other systems [smile]

ok, got it guys. have to use get mailbox name instead of get xxx, being the number. seems to be only on this one though. odd.... was pretty sure i tried that. also found a AV running in the background, disabled all now. thansk for all the help! Dave

Probably a combo then. Always use Names, it's the recommended way.

You're welcome[smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar
