Voicemail not showing for extension 2

I have an enduser extension that I just switched the name and changed the password for voicemail. So extension 505 used to be Sally. Now 505 is John. Since I did that, extension 505 is not showing any voicemail messages on the phone when people call and are in fact leaving messages. When I dial in and try to pull the voicemail from the backdoor using extension and password, it states no messages.

However, when I look on the VMPro server under Accounts and John's voicemail server, there are voice messages sitting there and I can play them.

Any suggestions on how I can reset John's voicemail so they start to show up on the phone with a red light? I did email all the wav files to John so it should be safe for me to delete all the current voicemessages sitting on the server if I need to. Thanks so much in advance!!

Delete his folder from the Accounts folder in VM Pro and then restart the services :)

When you state to restart services, are you referring to the Voicemail Pro Service?

Sometimes a system reboot can be needed if that doesn't work :)

A did not work :(. I deleted John's voicemail folder. I then restarted the service for Voicemail Pro Service. I then left a voicemail on Johns extension. Not showing anything again.

The phones are too busy for me to try a system reboot, so I will try that first thing in the morning instead.
 
Delete the old user in the vm folder too.

A Reboot did not resolve the issue. I went into IP Office, deleted the user extension, merged, recreated the user extension and merged again. The voicemail for this user is now WORKING!!!

Thank you everyone for your ideas and suggestions. It did the trick!
 
Cool, sometimes 1 thing works sometimes the full hit is needed, have never found a reason for it :)

I wish the some smart engineer would write the code that says when u delete a user in IP Office the VM account and all messages, name and greetings are also deleted.

I think that the housekeeping does do that.
I guess that just changing the name of a known user is the problem.

I think that deleting the user and recreate a new one with the same extension works better.

When you send back a config back with a user deleted there is a message send to the vmserver but i am not sure.

Always make up a nice story to the customer.
They do not understand anyway most of the times :)
