We recently upgrade to Avaya Intuity AUDIX LX R1.1 and have started testing receiving voicemail via e-mail. Is it possible to leave the message lamp on the phone lit when a message is retrieved by the email client ?

Thanks

As far as the MWI for email, not sure - but there's an add-in with exchange that will outcall to a pager, or other device when emails are recieved...

I'm not overly familiar with them, but I know they exist.

Thanks,
Chris

yes, if you are using outlook, you put "/nomove" after the account name(subscriber ext) in the servers tab of the services properties. that tells audix to leave the message as new in the voicemail box, even though it has been copied to yout email

thanks,tim

Tweege, is the "/nomove" only for r1.1? I have a r5.1 and it wont stay lit

In the future everything will work...

mine is an intuity 5.1. e-mail client is outlook 2000.

on the 'advanced' tab i also have the 'leave a copy of the message on server' box checked. i thought that told the server to leave the message listed as read and not to delete it. but, i guess it could have something to do with the light also.

thanks, tim

The way I have it formatted is XXXX/nomove How is yours formatted. I already had the leave a copy checked. I am also running Outlook 2000.

In the future everything will work...

The light will go off because the message has been listened to, so to speak, by the email client. Why would you want the light to stay on? They can look in their Outlook and see they have a new message.
