Hello All

Again I am newbie at Meridian system and don't know much syntax so please bear with me.

So here is the situation:

Our voicemail DN is set to 4088. We are having issues where more often than not this number has a fast busy tone. It does go through after dialing a few times. It seems like that only a certain number of people can get in at a time or something.

How do I resolve this issues ????

Thanks

add more ports to your voice mail, it will take a card or two and keycodes, your provider can get new keycodes from nortel.. another thing would be to stat your ports to make sure none of them are disu.. ld 20 prt dnb 4088, that should give you a list if it's mermail, other wise post the prt here

what if is Octel ?

do I do the same thing ?

Yes it is the same thing with Octel if it is hooked up to the Meridian System.

or press the dsp port status button on the main mail screen, if mer mail and it will show you, but you said it's octel.......just surfing cause it's slow at the office.

octel might have another problem, make sure the port is doing a rls, at the end of the call, trace your phone after you connect to the mail, then stat the voice mail station after you hang up, another point is users who have a dial 0 option that is outside your switch, make sure the vm is doing a transfer and not a conference... any of these can be a problem with a vm that is only partial intergrated.. octel (mitel) makes a good mail, but the intergration must be exact

I think this might be out of my scope considering my experience with Telecom. I am more in the LAN/WAN area. I think I will get my Vendor involved in this one. Thought that I would be able to resolve this without getting them in.

Thanks for your help.
