Voice Recording on D4 series phones

In thread 806-812809, dated April 04, ericsson enterprise stated that there would be a new option unit available for the DBC4xx range of digital phones that offered an analogue voice recording output.

Does anybody know if this is available yet or if it is likely to be soon?

If it is available, what is the part number

Thanks but this is not what I require.

We are installing an MD into a fire service control room and are hoping to use an option unit to connect the conversation to an E&M cct on a TLU80. this allows a supervisor to dial the E&M access code and silently monitor the conversation.

It looks like we will have to use old 3212 phones with option units. however we are having problems with these as well. once the option unit is connected the phone gives dialtone only once to the handset, after that you must unplug the phone and plug it back in again to get dialtone.
both the handset and headset are affected but the loudspeaker is not.

It seems that the revision of the phone is the issue but I am not sure what phones work and which do not.

Hi

There is no solution for the way you are working. There is no options unit availbale for D4 DTS as for D3 DTS.
The lonely solution will be th DEX28 or to put a voice recorder between the board and the DTS.

An other possibility will be to make make silent intrusion, as it is possible now in BC12.

You can have another possibility:
Do you have data network between two sites? ...If Yes, you can remove TLU 80 & connect D4 series digital phone through internet & as fouesnant suggested you can go for silent montitoring..
