Hi all,
Question if any of you have seen this as I've had it twice now. Virtual Server Edition core with 5 expansions (other site I had issue with had 1 expansion). Systems were on latest 9.0 and running latest Xima to manage recordings. The main site which extensions are based off the server edition but has an IP500 for the incomming PRI, all calls are being recorded, no issues. But when recording is turned on at the remote expansions, they get dropped calls and, even worse, they will get a call that then gets overlaid with another one in real time.
I've opened up a couple tickets with Avaya on it and haven't got too far there. They've kind of pointed their finger towards Xima even though I explained that Xima doesn't use the recording until it's finished then it grabs it, moves and compresses it. The issue is real time which seems to me would be a RTP stream crossing. I've also talked with Xima who agreed with me that it's an Avaya issue.
I had it with another site with one remote branch. Local Server Edition site, no issues, all calls recorded. Turn it on at the remote site and we had overlaid conversations.
I'm just curious if any of you have come across it or have a server edition setup with expansions that are doing auto call recording on the expansions without any issues.
I'm at my wits end on this and both are banks so turning on to test and capture is getting tough due to sensitive nature of conversations. I've tried having direct media both on and off on the SCN lines. I just switched from 7.11 to 7.29 for codecs on the SCN lines. I thought that it was an issue where we were running out of voicemail channels so I got 10 more temp ones to cover testing (which I started today) so we will see where that goes but I figured if all voicemail channels were tied up it just wouldn't record. My only other thought would be there's a router with like a h.323 inspect turned on that is goofing this up but they are a just on a switched network running between the sites with fiber.
Thanks for looking!
