This is not really a question - just something else I've found.

I've had various ongoing issues with vista (as I've posted before) - generally not critical, but just enough ongoing to make me constantly want to go back to XP. I had some issues with vmware - which I thought were sorted - but have just discovered there's one which isn't. My vista machine has always had a very annoying delay printing to our networked printer. Creating some test vista installs lately, I found they printed fine then they didn't - common factor, after vmware they didn't. And uninstalling vmware or system restoring back before vmware install doesn't fix the problem! Accessing other network resources is also slower (the speed of connection is ok, just time it takes to bring it up).

Also of course there's the annoying virtual PUBLIC networks it creates - which means you have to turn network discovery on for public networks.

So - I'm going to bite the bullet, and redo my main vista machine - sans vmware of course - and hopefully missing lots of the little annoyances I've had till now (many of which have now been sorted). I don't think virtual PC causes similar problems.

Any other vmware users on vista care to comment?

I sparsely use VMWare, but I also have printing problems on Vista and this may explain why, thanks for the pointer.
