We are adding another voicemail server because of 16 site limitation for each SCN. Is it possible to use Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 to run both vm's on the same box with both license keys? Has anyone tried this approach and been successful?
VMPRO has specs, make sure you have those specific resources dedicated to each VMPRO server/virtual server, and they are not sharing them. It will need to have two proccessors, non-shared ram, etc., etc., Otherwise I would advise you triple the specs of the server, and then realize that you still are doing something which is not even close to being supported.
However they use vmware extensively in the test labs so this is known to work ok.
The answer to the question is it will work but isnt supported. If you were to have any issues one of the steps required would be to try it on a non virtual machine as part of the fault finding procedure.

Agree with PlatinumGuy. We have run VMPro on a virtual server and things were fine. However that was very much test bench lab stuff, just to be able to rapidly switch between different Windows OS's and languages. However multiple VMPro on the same server, never tried, and even if possible at the first problem Avaya would say "not supported".
