VMPro multi language Qpos 2

Hello everyone,

Installing a new IP500 (4.2.14) with VMPro (4.2.27)
Having a Menu;

1=Dutch
2=German
3=Italian
4=English

After the language choice they hear an another menu each choice there is transfered to a huntgroup with Queuing and a AA with QPOS.

I have it working for one call at a time, it will hear in its own language the Queue Position and a breakout to VM in the same language.

But if i dialin from two extensions at once it will follow the last chosen language.

I've used "Test User Variable" to sent it to the right language.

I could create a HG for each language but then if a Dutch and English person dialin they will hear both "your possition is number 1"

Don't use a system variable...

use a call variable instead - $CP0 to 9 instead

I will try it tomorrow, tried with $CP0/6 but that didn't work the first time. But it think i know what i did wrong.

Have tried the $CP0 but i will need a DB Licence then, or do you have an other option Matt?

Create subdirectories under the default vm wave file directory:
NLD
DEU
ITA
ENG

Put the wav files for each language into the proper directory, all the wav files for each language need to have the same name. You need four queue.wav files each in another language and in the directory of that language.
Example:
NLD
- Welcome.wav = 1st queue message in dutch
DEU
- Welcome.wav = 1st queue message in german
etc.
in the queue, still queue and wherever you need a specific language you put $LOC before the wav file name.
For the 1st queue you select $LOC\Welcome.wav as message file.

Now you must set a call to a specific locale.
You can do that on the IncomingCallRoute using CLI routing or you create a VM Menu asking the user to select a specific language and the route the caller to the Language action or make a combination of both, if you know the callers CLI you can skip the language selection menu.
The $LOC will remain the same during the lifetime of a call unless you change it somewere else.

Now you have only one call flow for all languages which makes it a lot easier to maintain.

$CP
The 16 variables $CP0 to $CP15 are used to store values (call parameters) for the duration of a call within the call flow. Values can be written into these variables using the Generic action command CPx:<value> where x is 0 to 15 and <value> is the value to be stored.

Thanx intrigrant, I've got it working like you said. This was easier then i thought.

@Matt, also thanx for the input. Got it working now like itrigant said, because it was a bit easier to manage for the customer.
