VMPro locking up

I have an IPO 500 6.1(15) with a Voice Mail Pro 6.1(17) on Windows XP. The Voicemail is locking up, it will process calls fine but I can’t make any changes with the client. Changes will not take affect after hitting the save and go live without a reboot. Once the PC is rebooted the changes take effect and new changes can be made with the save and go live. The system will work fine for about 2 to 3 weeks then lock up again. This voice mail has several Conferences Bridges built on it so the customer is going in and changes the pin code for the test variable a couple times a week.
The system was doing this before I upgrade to 6.1(17) and I have reinstalled 6.1(17). Any thoughts on what I should try next?
 
so what do the event logs say?

have you run debug view and monitor and kept a log of the output?

The changes will not be activated when vmpro channels are in use.
Are you absolutely sure that the vmpro is idle?

hairlessupportmonkey, I've never worked with the debug tool. I'm downloading it now from the knowlage base.

tlpeter, When I was 1st troubleshooting this problem I did make sure that all ports were free. I'm taking the customers word on it from when the problem was rereported last Friday.
 
So you did not check yourself?
I never ever takes the customers word, i need to see it myself!
But you can see it in the VMPro client if there is a channel in use.
What else is running on the server?

Check if you have a tftp problem

In my case, IPO refuse voicemail pro TFTP query after some time
open monitor and check TFTP filter so see it. Let it work for 24 hours. Search for TFTP error. I thik you will see it
