Hello beautiful people! I have Database Connection running smoothly on VM Pro. When SIP External calls are transferred, users can see Customer's NAME and PHONE # on their display and on OX Portal, for incoming active calls. On their phones (9600 series), this is also working for registered MISSED/ ANSWERED calls.
But, for Voicemail msgs coming from Customers (external incoming calls that route through DataBase Action)that are in the database, they can only see NAME, then they're not able to return the call. Or they may be able to see the callers number, but then no name.
On VM Pro, the Administrator has implemented the Transfer action and, on SPECIFIC tab, he has entered the Agents Name for Destination field, and $DBD[0] for Transfer Source field(related to CUSTOMERS NAME coming from the database). He has also tried filling in the Description field only with the correct $DBD[0], but then while accessing Voicemail messages, agents can only see the Caller Number, with no name.
what do you suggest?

Why not usa a generic action > text manipulation and rop $DBD[0] in variabele $CLI

probably drop misspelled,

Yeap Joe, thnks. Im tryinh that but then I dont know what to do nxt

The incoming calls are connected to a SIP Trunk Provider in Brazil and they claim that AVAYA IPO may do the job into using the correct protocol type for caller ID needs.

Okkie, I have tried using Generic Action as you advised, but then I only get NAME from DBD[0]. No number tag on the Visual Voice new messages. Any ideas?

Does anyone happen to know what the variable used for the caller name tag is? I've tried all of the variables in the IPO Voicemail Pro Manual :(

I'm pretty sure this is what happens:
When a call has been transferred back to the IPO with an altered $CLI and re-enters as a Voicemail Leave, the original CLI is pulled from the IPO.
You need to redo the DB pull in the Leave.

Kind regards

Does anyone happen to know what the VOICEMAIL PRO variable used for the CALLER NAME tag is?

$CLI_NAME (if available, it will contain the callers name, but I'm pretty sure it won't in your case.)

I've already tried that. Thats so odd. If I use $CLI_NAME it replaces the caller's phone number by his name. So by doing this I am not able to call him back. Im adding Generic Action before the LEAVE VOICEMAIL Action.
GENERIC ACTION> String Manipulation> $DBD[0]> $CLI_NAME> Copy> ALL

Then maybe $FORCE_RANDOM_NAME :)

You don't have a name coming from the IPO, you're pulling it from the DB. Variables like this get their values from the IPO, and are refreshed on every new VMPro interaction.

Is this issue solved in RELEASE 9.1? I may consider upgrading to IP500V2 if that's solved in the 9.1.

I just realized you been posting 150+ times on the forum, giving exactly 0 stars for the help you've received.

Think I'll waste my time elsewhere...ta-ta!

Kind regards
