I have a Vmpro 4.0.15 running on a win2003 server and runs the Licence key server for a call centre CCC 5. It used to run with no problems until a power failure last week and the USB dongle lost its drivers. we had to re-install the Rainbow usb drivers.

since then, the voicemail has been giving us problems.

We have calls being answered by the vmail but no speech and no rerouting from the vmail. a restart of the vmail pro service gets everything up again. we have already done this 3 times since friday.

any suggestions and pointers?

If the licences show as invalid (before you need to reboot) then the licence key isn't seen, which would suggest the drivers are not installed correctly or the IP has changed on the server :)

Move the dongle to another USB slot and let it reinstall the driver for that USB slot (IRQ)

We tried all that, moving to another Usb port. we managed to rectify the dongle licence issue by installing Sentinel driver, from Rainbow computers. Our problem is the Voicemail Pro 4.0.15. under services all services for the Vmpro are shown as running.

We have calls that are routed to the vm short code with time profile. when these calls hit the VM @ night a msge is to be played, Bla bla office closed and during day the call should be transfred to the mail group with Switch as the only member.

However:

Calls are being routed to the VM Short code as programmed, the call is answered but no greeting/message is played and same thing during day time, the call is being answered by the Vm and but being re-routed to the main group.(no msge is played either).

Only after a restart of the Vmpro services gets this to work but the problem comes back again after 3 to 5 hours, whenever.

Yes, but do the licences show as valid in the system/Manager? I have a feeling they are going invalid which means VM will run for about 2 hrs before shutting down :)

try toggling the VM IP address in Manager from a specific IP to 255.255.255.255 or round the other way.

True hey!

The licences are going invalid and the Usb dongle is not recognised on the PC regardless of which Port I plug it in. Driver update failing to pick correct drivers again! Way forward?

It had me fool!

you can remove the driver from the server and install it from the Manager ADMIN CD.
