I went and downloaded the latest release of VM pro from Avaya's website. Is anything special about upgrading or is it a fairly simple task. IP office 500 v2. Does it retain all data when upgrade is complete. This is my first time to do this and just want to make sure I don't screw it up. Thanks for any imput.

it usually retains all information, but I do backups before anyways just in case.
You know that you need to upgrade the firmware of the IPO as well I hope and they should match in the release.
If you downloaded R6.1 you hopefully also have a license for it.

Thanks for the info, I already did the IPO upgrade.

Read the technical bulletin, that's what it's for.

In this release the email settings have moved from being Windows control panel settings to being set through the VMPro client. So if you are using SMTP best to double check that the old settings have been correctly reimplemented in there new location.
