We are trying to get Vm to email set up on a vmpro box. I have verified all the fields are there from the info we were provided by the IT about the mail server. Still no emails. Is there a way to track that to see where the failure is? Also, do we need to fill out the SMTP in both the manager and the VMpro client? Or is the info in manager under the SMTP tab just for embedded? The docs are a touch sketchy.

Enable then review the VMPro logs, they'll tell the tale. SMTP config in Manager is for transactions that originate in IPO. You're more interested in SMTP in VMPro.

Sorry, got the wrong port number from the IT guy. All better now.

And the port number was?
587, 465, 25?

25 or 6 to 4?

First thing I would try if I encountered this issue is to try and telnet to the SMTP server, if it doesn't work you'll know it isn't the VM Pro configuration.

But maybe that's just me...
