I have an IP Office 4.1 system with VM Pro that we would like to specify which VM box is used for hunt groups.

For example hunt group 2000 with extensions 2001, 2002, and 2003 I would like to be able to specify that VM goes to x2002 rather than the Hunt Group mailbox x2000. Is this possible in this version or any version of IP Office and VM Pro?

I can do this in Audix but can't figure out how to do this with our auto attendant and hunt groups.

In VM Pro open the Groups section on the left find the group you want and create a leave start point for that group, connect a leave mail action to the start point and in the specific tab of the leave action enter the mailbox number you want it to go to :)

That works fine, for the main group, but my problem is that I have several hunt groups that are transferred to aside from the Main.

How do I specify the VM for the other hunt groups (options 1 through 6) that transfer out to those hunt group extensions.

Do I have to create a seperate group for each hunt group in the system and then do what you suggested?

If they are already in a group on the system then they will show in the group list and just do as you did with the Main, what groups are you talking about?

I implemented and tested what I thought you were suggesting and it works beautifully.

Here is my setup:
Incoming calls ring three times at reception and if not answered they go to the auto attendant.
The auto attendant directs the calls to transfer to six different hunt groups. If they don't transfer it goes to reception VM (using Leave mail HG specification)

I created a group for each Hunt group with only two items in them, start point and leave mail HG. That directs the VM for the hunt groups to a specified indivudual extension.

I am so happy that this works. My phone vendor said it wasn't possible!

Then your Vendor isn't any good, I'm glad it's working as you want it :)

starting to see people saying this far too often. there must be some shoddy shoddy vendors out there. bring on the changes in september, that should change everything for the better.

gkittleson, do me a favour, phone them, tell them you are cancelling the contract because they clearly dont know the basics about the system, then email them a link to this thread so they can see that your simple query was answered within 4 minutes.

Tom, that's just a measure of how good I am........ Not how bad they are :) lol

Avaya just called me 10 minutes ago to congratulate me on my troubleshooting skills. Too funny. I found and fixed the problem before they could. Naturally it was a whack UMS issue that was as tough as liquid nails to find and repair. But still...

So in that spirit I will give you a start for excellent advise giving...naturally I would have advised the same.

It's people like you who generalize.
