VM Pro FAX detection not always recognizing a FAX?

I have a customer who wants to use one of their analog trunks as dual purpose, for incoming FAX and to make/receive calls. They are at 8.1 (69) or 8.1 (73), depending on location, and their VM Pro server is the UC110 module. We have all of their analog lines being answered by a VM Pro module with the "F" action as a part of a menu to transfer to the fax machine's extension. For some reason, my fax transmissions from my office seem to always be recognized by the VM Pro, and gets routed to the FAX extension. When a site to site FAX is attempted by this customer's outer sites (not networked, all use analog dialtone, machines are outside of their PBX), it appears it's not recognized by the VM Pro. We think it has to do with the machine brand being used company-wide, or perhaps there is some type of setting on the machine that needs to be changed for outbound. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and what you wound doing for resolution. If it makes any difference, I'm sending faxes out over PRI on a CM solution, and my machine is a Brother MFC-240C.

Wanted to bump this in case it was buried.

Beginning to think there is no explanation for this...
