Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

So Linux is a go. Don't try it on Windows? or you haven't tried yet?

I've read the documents, just curious if anyone has actually done it. Install both on same server per docs with no problems?

We are using the APPS server. I liked the ease of intallation.

1043, are you also integrated with exchange and using the outlook plugin and mobile apps?

We do on the server edition (also Linux)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

They eliminated our exchange server several years back. We will be upgrading network stuff later this year and getting a new excahnge server.

Cool, I will be trying this on a customer with around 200 users. Wish me luck.

surprised Win7 works with the limit imposed on TCP connections, especially with 120 users on it!

Application server All the way
Engineers need no knowledge of the operating system & can concentrate on being Telecoms engineers.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

To OP, install server and do ALL the windows updates, and then turn them off. Install the java that comes with One-x not a download. Turn updates off for that one too.

Works fine on 2008 r2 Enterprise with vm pro, one x and contact store (2nd hdd for library) with 4gb of RAM, but please go to 8; customers will always go with minimal instead of recommended.

Yep that is my experience too. They buy a $30000 solution and save $50 on a memory stick [ponder]
