Brief background. I have Site W,X,Y and Z all linked by SCN over a Verizon MPLS. For the longest time site W had an issue where the VM light would not stay on even if the user had new messages. Went through a laundry list of troubleshooting, wasn't until I was doing some service on site X that I noticed there were copies of site W's accounts on the VM server at X. I deleted 2 accounts off of X, restarted for site and waited. No issues were ever reported on site W of the light not coming on from those 2 users. So I went ahead and deleted all copies of the accounts from site W from the server at X.

After all copies were deleted I restarted the service on site X. Logged into VM Pro on X just to verify and now there are copies from site Y on X. Good news no copies from W, but now I need to delete all the Y copies. Before I do that, anyone know why site X(and only site X) is pulling copies from the other 3 sites(I don't know that it will pull from Z site but I am sure it will).

Thanks

You aren't supposed to link sites in an SCN and then have them run their own VM servers, they should run centralised or distributed servers not individual servers :)

this is one of the reasons why standalone VM pro servers aren't supported on a SCN... (e.g. sites W X Y and Z all set in system VM pro tab as "VM Pro Lite")

Only one system can be VM pro Lite (the main site for the system)... all the others must be centralized or distributed.

Thanks guys. I realize the issue with VM Pro over the SCN, this became apparent after the installation at 4 sites. However I am not in a position to be able to move to a centralized server for VM, multiple reasons. I guess the issue that is mind boggling is that it is only happening to the one site.

Thanks for your input Am and GB.

Doing it causes "unexpected results" that's why it isn't supported, you never will figure out a pattern/reason.... Avaya couldn't so they just didn't support it :)
