Gotta few here. I'm relatively new to MICS. Thanks in advance!!

1.) How do I set up a back door to vm with an available DID without using a physical port?(0x32, 7.0) Also, does it have to go to an AA greeting to use the ** code or can it be done with a subscriber mailbox?

2.) How do I set up remote access with the RAD device that I have? I am able to use it when on site but can't figure out how remotely? I tried to find doc's on it, and it kept talking about "remote packages".

3.) What permissions do I need to enable to allow users to forward their 7316's to their cell phones? I was able to find "Allow Redirect" in the phone programming but not through the software. Is there more I have to do? I have no lines in it currently and tried to forward to an outside number by pressing "9" and the display reads: "Denied in Admin". That error concerns me and I'm hoping that it is appearing because no lines are in switch. Please advise.

I've posted a few times in here and have been really happy with information that I have gotten. Thanks again.

Jim

item 3: ur part way there. u also need to build a route and assign a destination code instead of using line pool codes.

item 1: yes **, mbox, pswd, # works in AA or sub mbox.

Adversity is Opportunity

You must first program the rad by doing a feature 9** and enter a password. Also if you have a did/target line you tell the rad what line to auto answer or you can also do a operator transfer feature 9*0

RE: 3.
If i assign a destination code of "9" for this forwarding purpose, will that conflict with other users pressing a "9" to make outbound calls? Thx.

It has no effect, your pressing the Ftr button before "9". It's not a Dest. Code it's a Feature.

Adversity is Opportunity

You use the feature button or if you are new its the gray button above the hold button (the one whith the handset laying down) That is how you program a rad to answer remotely

item 1 backdoor- find yourself an available DID and then assign your rec'd numbers to a open target line...so for ex. say line 157 w rec'd # 5000...(obviously i don't know what telco is sending you but in most cases it is 4.

then simply log into your vmail and set line 157 in this case to ans AA on 0 rings...you should be good to go after that.
