Does anyone know of a reason why a vlookup that returns a valid value when the spreadsheet is opened with Excel 2000 would return a value of N/A when opened with Excel 2003?

After further investigation, we have found that the user has a vbs script that runs against an access database to import the data into the spreadsheet. The database was written in Access 2000, which is the more likely source of the issue.

almost certainly, some data that was being impoted as numeric is now being imported as text or vice versa
