VLANs and Printers

Ok,

So i have setup all my VLANs with IP's, and put them into every switch. I got a new printer, put a new IP on it and then untagged the port on the switch for that VLAN. However i cant connect to it, or ping it. I gave it an IP from the Default VLAN block, untagged that port, and then i could ping it, and connect to it....


Am i missing something? Or should this of worked.
