I have spent weeks on end learning Visual C++ 6.0. And a few weeks ago I upgraded from the learning edition to this full blown app. Of course there are changes to it. And I am lost. It comes with very little starter information so here is my question.

I have a program of which I added a Dialog Box to. In the old program when you went to class wizard it gave you the add a class window. Since the classwizard has changed, I am at a loss as to how to get this window to pop up. I have done it once before. But it was by dumb luck and now can't for the life of me get it to pop. I thought just be using the right click add class would work, but it dumped DHTML stuff all over the class, and I chose CDialog. Maybe I have missed something??

BTW - thanks for those who have helped in the past, my appilcation is coming along quite well!!

Hey minifredragon, still having problems with the new IDE eh? ;-)

So i think your wanting to add a new class to your project? In the "Class View" window right click the project name and select "new class" from the context menu.

Also on the Menu... Project/Add Class

Before, (and once now) when U added a Dialog Box to your window, and then went to the Class Wizard, it automatically opened the Add Class window.

I have long found the Add Class part, but was looking for the auto part when I added a dialog box.

Still guessing at what your asking. You inserted a new dialog resource by selecting the menu item Project/Add Resource and then selected Dialog and clicked New in the Add Resource dialog? Now you want to create a class for the dialog?

If that is what your asking, in the dialog editor right click the dialog and select Add Class from the context menu.

I figured it out. There are 2 different windows that come up on making a class and I figured out how to make the window come up that I was speaking of. Thanks!!
