Visual Basic Editor Title Bar / Complete Word flickers 1

In Access 2000
I've got a form where in the Visual Basic editor the Title Bar Flashes and when I go to use Complete Word to Write Code the drop down selection list disapears.

I had this problem once before and got round it by rebuilding the Form object by object

Does anyone know an easier way round this problem

No Timer event procedure in this form ?

There is no timer events on the form, there is however a timer on the menu which opens it.

Just realised that the flickering flashing occurs when I open my form from the menu and then go into design view to make changes with the menu and it's timer still open
