can anybody suggest a good book of visual basic 6.0 database programming (not vba)

Thank you

Try Professional Visual Basic 6 Databases (Professional) (Paperback) by Charles Williams and Visual Basic 6.0 Business Objects (Hardcover) by Rockford Lhotka. Both used from Amazon will set you back < $10.

Thanks harebrain

thos seems to be a very good books, But do you recommend this for advanced programming, of not can you suggest more books.

Thanks again

Lhotka's book is advanced, but it is not specifically about programming against a database. It is his description of CLSA (Component Based Scalable Architecture), a framework he developed to create scalable applications using VB6.

It's a good read if you want to build serious, middle to large scale applications. A lot of good concepts you can absorb. But might not be what you're looking for if your aim is to know everything there is to know about using VB with databases, as Lhotka's book assumes you have some knowledge about that already.
