Hi

I`m trying to install vista on my machine and when the
dvd just starts to boot. It see this error: The file is
possibly corrupt. The files checksum does not match the
computers checksum. I tried Vista on my home machine and
I have no error messages.

Do you mean with the exact same dvd? If it's not the DVD, is there currently anything on the hard drive that you're trying to install to? Is it possible that the hard drive is badly fragmented or something?

Have you checked for RAM problems?

Your hard drive manufacturer will have free diagnostic software to thoroughly check the condition of the hard drive.

Will your previous operating system's CD begin to install?

Maybe the Vista DVD is faulty and needs replacing.

Likewise the DVD drive.

Is there any Bios anti virus scanning you can disable?
