Symantec detected my iexplore.exe file is infected with a virus/worm after running a system scan. It gives the following details:

Infected file is
c:\winnt\system32\iexplore.exe
Worm/virus name
backdoor.sdbot

NAV cannot quantine or repair the file and gives the option to delete. After trying to delete, it says infection still found and could not delete. My system is still infected.

Please help

ouch!

try uninstall IE, but not with Add/Remove Program, use IEradicator! this is a great program! full clean!

get at:

before this, get an IE installation program at microsoft sites, you need it after your IE´s removed.

good luck

You can also try this download to see if you have any other Trojan's galloping around your system. The demo won't remove them, but it will identify them. Sometimes AV programs won't pick up everything.
Is it Happy Hour yet?
