Virus that disables network card 2

Hi,
Anyone heard of a virus that screws with and seems to disable the network card. When I run a ping test, I can ping servers on the network but cannot access them or any websites. After running a ping test, I get this in the statistics area "0u and a spade symbol" .

Great tip, and I tried it, but still not working. I believe it is some kind of virus due to the fact of the weird little symbols in the DOS window after I run ping on something. I am going to re-load windows. Good stuff here

Great article. That is EXACTLY what happened to me. I ran some spyware software and my internet was gone. I will try the utility.
