We are currently using Netscape Messaging server but are thinking of converting to Exchange 2000. My initial concern was virus protection. Any help in allaying my fears regarding viruses with Exchange would be wonderful. My preliminary search seem to point me towards Symantec's Antivirus/Filtering 3.0 for MS Exchange seems to be a pretty good solution for the server itself.

any advice regarding a total virus defense using Exchange and Outlook would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

We migrated from Netscap Messenger ro Exchange 2000 at the begining of last year.

We decided to use Trends NetSuit products ( and have been very happy with everything so far. Definatley use the InterScan product as this can be used to catch viruses before they even hit your E2K servers.

One thing we are considering is to have an external compnay scan all e-mail before it even hits our network, this is nothing against Trend, just an extra layer of protection.

After many problems with Mcafee's Group Shield Product, we switched to Antigen for Exchange. This has worked very well for us. The use 5 different scan engines and have updates almost daily.
