Am kinda a beginner in exchange server 2003.Am trying to add a physical Disk Resource to an exchange virtual server. The physical Disk that am trying to use on my Server Is a SATA Drive Coz I only Have a SATA controller,is it true that I can only use a scsi drive to set up a Virtual Exchange Server? If not how can I set up the resource(physical drive) on my SATA drive because when I finish setting it up it goes to online pending and then it fails. Can someone please help me out

No you can use almost any hardware you like.

I've had it running on a usb drive!

Is it the drive that doesnot come online?

What do the event logs say?

Sorry do you mean "exchange virtual server" i.e. VMware / VirtualServer with Exchange installed or are you talking "virtual server" as in SMTP / NNTP Virtual Server?

I read these things one way and then someone posts and I read it another.......

Again any service failing will result in error logs so have a look at them.
