How to create a virtual ext in ip office manager? Just want an ext that will forward all calls to a cell phone.

Thanks,

Fred

Right click in the users column and select "New" programme as required and when you save it will ask if you want to create an extn or not, you can create a H323 one if you like for neatness, I do :)

Did you know you can simply type an external number into the Incoming call route destination and it will just go straight out, no need for users etc :)

Thanks amriddle01,

No I didn't, can you share, or point me to a doc?

Nothing to share, in the Incoming call route, find the line/number you want to forward and type the external number into the destination field (with prefix if required) :)

Granted....that only works if that user has a DID...

This user didn't exist before, it's a virtual user so wouldn't have a DDI, his question is about forwarding a number/call offsite :)

yes, but he did not say anything about a DID/DDI, just a user. New user does not equate new DID/DDI. Unless your post was just a matter-of-fact.

It was just a matter of fact, as nearly ever time this gets asked it turns out that's what people want to do, and arent aware a number can come in and go straight out without needing a forwarded user :)
