My graphics card sets the actual screen resolution and the vertical desktop size to different sizes on my tv output at certain resolutions. what this means is that the window has to scroll to show the entire desktop area. is there a utility you know of that can give me control of both screen resolution and virtual desktop size?

i remember looking in display properties once and seeking seperate resolution and dektop size slider, but this was a long time ago, and i can't remember what version of windows i was on, or what graphics hardware there was. it might have been specific to certain graphics drivers.
