I upgraded my router to support fast ethernet and fix a security bug that cisco announced. I am running c3640-ik8o3s-mz.122-15.T12. After I upgraded there is a new interface that I am not familiar with, a Virtual-access interface. I read that it has to do with ppp connnections, although I do not have any dial-in/out lines. I do have 2 T1 lines and don't want this possibly allowing some way to get into my network.

If I try and access the interface to issue the shutdown command, it gives a message that I have to configure the interface via the template.

Is there any way to shut this interface or remove it?

thanks
