Hey Guys,

is there a way to find from a vioclient which vioservers are providing virtual resources?

topas -C shows only the other vioclients.

regards,

Raba

No, you need to go to the HMC to tell as far as I know.

I know that you can know the virtual adapter number connected to your vio client using the lsdev but i'm not sure if there is any reference to vio server from the lsdev or lscfg output! (I don't have an aix box for now to try!)

IMHO One way to do it is to follow some convention in naming your virtual adapters! Like reserving a set of adapter numbering for one vioserver which differentiate it from the other vioservers!

Regards,
Khalid
