vim + no color !!!

Hi all !!!!

I try to install vim on HP/UX in order to have a color vi.
The installation is ok, and when i test gvim, have got the syntax hightligthing.....
But when i test vim in a xterm, i don't have it... snif !!!!

I put the glob var TERM=xterm and then TERM=xterm-color and i don't notice any amelioration...

Can someone help me ? Here is my config :

uname -a
------------
HP-UX scs4 B.11.00 U 9000/785 2012630944 licence pour un nombre illimité d'utilisateurs

xterm -v
------------
XFree86 4.0.2(150)

I get colors in vim when I invoke it with the -g option (it creates its own X-window). If you're using CDE, give vim -g a try.
 
yes, i know ! it works too on our computer however i would like to make it work on an xterm cuz i have to switch between a lot of files and it s easier to use the terminal....

So PLEAZZZZZZZZ help me to make it work on my xterm !!!!!!!

/opt/gtk+/lib/libgtk.sl -> /usr/local/lib/libgtk.sl 
/opt/glib/lib/libgmodule.sl -> /usr/local/lib/libgmodule.sl 
/opt/glib/lib/libglib.sl -> /usr/local/lib/libglib.sl 
/opt/gettext/lib/libintl.sl -> /usr/local/lib/libintl.sl
