In the locals window you cannot expand indexed objects to see their Items. (ie the Parameters collection of a SQLCommand or the Tables collection of a Dataset) How can I explore the contents of the Items in those collections?

You should also be able to set a break point and then hover over the collection, and you can expand the collection items that way and looksie... a little hovering plus will appear on the object.

Are you talking about hovering in the code window? All I get is a definition of the Parameters collection class. I don't see any plus. There are pluses in the Locals window but I can't drill down to the Item level.

I think that these classes store their data in external objects, out side of vb.net scope.

That doesn't make any sense. If VB.Net can read from and write to them, then they are in scope.
