I am a consultant working with a company that has both SQL2000 and SQl 7.0 Databases on the network. A User running SQL 2000 client with enterprise manager can conect to the server but can only view SQL 2000 DB's and not the SQL 7.0 Databases? Any Ideas??
Was SQL server 200 installed as a named instance or as the default instance? In SQL books online go to the contents and look at Installing SQL server and then the subtopic - Working with Instances and Versions of SQL Server. LOoks to me like this might shed some light on your problem
I had a problem with that for one of our servers in the corporate office unitl they told me that one of the SQL Servers was on a different port (default 1433) in the same box. Of course that was with me connecting via the IP address.
