Hello,
I have a fully patched Window Server 2003 standard with Exchange 2003 SP1. This small server has an Intel D915GAV motherboard with onboard Intel video, 10/100 nic and audio. P4 3.6ghz. CPU and 2gb RAM.

When I added the /3b /userva=3030 switches to the boot.ini, the server boots up, all services start, no errors in Event viewer, but the diplay goes black. I mean no display at all, no flicker, no garbage, no nothing. I have to reset and start the server in VGA mode to see a disply.

I am using the latest chipset and video drivers.

Any ideas? Please!

Does the problem go away when you remove the 2 switches from the boot.ini? Are the video drivers WHQL?

Yes the problem went away after I removed the two switches then rebooted. The video drivers are WHQL tested for XP, aspparently not for 2003 however.

Thank you.

What happens if you use a PCI/AGP video card and disable the onboard? Sounds like a bug to me. I haven't had that happen on any of the equipment I'm using.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will give that a try.
