I've read the FAQ about video importing, and it didn't answer my question. I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in, but i'm using Premiere to make the video.

Q: I've got home made dvd videos of my brothers football games. I don't have the original video files, but have the dvds. Is there a way that I can import the dvd files into Premiere? Or, what program would I need to change the video files to be able to import the fiels into Premiere?

Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

You can operate directly on MPEG files (from DVD) in Premiere Elements, but not in full versions of Premiere.

For the latter, it is best to convert to DV AVI format. One way is to use the free download of Virtual Dub.
