What kind of VGA chip? You may have to set a driver manually in the XF86Config if X doesn't detect it. Did you try running X -configure?

how can I start it ?
I can't find redhat-config-xf86config command ?!

As root you can run the executable "X" with the -configure option and it will try to create a XF86Config file for what it can probe in your machine.

BTW, it took me about 90 seconds on google to find out your computer has an Intel Extreme Graphics 2 processor. Then another 45 seconds to find a mention that XFree86 supports the chip with their I810 driver.

I am a begginer in Linux ,, so I think it will take me over that !!!

anyway ,, the X -config could't probe my graphical Driver !!

This is the Output from X -configure :

XFree86 Version 4.1.0 (Red Hat Linux release: 4.1.0-29) / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6510)

If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is
newer than the above date, look for a newer version before
reporting problems. (See Build Operating System: Linux 2.4.9-31smp i686 [ELF]

You *may* be able to hand edit the driver into your config.

Open the file /etc/X11/XF86Config and look for a stanza like this:

Code:
Section "Device"
        Identifier "Videocard0"
        Driver "vesa"
        VendorName "Videocard vendor"
        BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 4 (generic)"
EndSection

Change the driver to i810 and try to start X. If that doesn't work, then try vesa. Otherwise you may be hosed.

Yeah, that's not it.

Try running 'locate XF86Config' or 'find / -name XF86Config\* -print'
