Now my QUESTION is what are the posible problem that will be occur if i update my system into vfp8. Please help to point what portion of my system that i'm going to revise or edit..

Remsor,

The VFP 8.0 Help file has a topic called "Behavior Changes Since Visual FoxPro 7.0", which warns you of certain incompatibilities.

These are very minor. The biggest one, as Mike Gagnon pointed out, is the tightening up of SELECT - SQL syntax (although you can switch back to the old rules with a SET command). Other points: very minor changes in grid behaviour, no support for ActiveDocuments, very minor changes to TABLEUPDATE(), changes to shortcut keys in Browse and grids.

There were also some small changes when upgrading from 6.0 to 7.0, but these are even more minor. The biggest problem I recall was that the menu format changed, which meant that you could not create a menu file in 7.0 and re-open it in 6.0 (other than with a bit of hacking).

Hope this helps.

Mike
