I have an application running on W2000 server with W2000 work stations as clients.

The user was experiencing itermittant crashes at the same point in the application always at the end of a VFP report.
The crash resulted in total loss of all tasks in progress with a blue screen displaying "BAD_POOL_CALLER" + various hex addresses.

There is a reference on the microsoft support web site to the specific error message and that this can be resolved by installing service pack 2. This I have done.

However whilst testing output following installation of the service pack I created a spool file in PDF format.

When trying to view the spool file from within the VFP application I get exactly the same crash.

Can anyone explain what the error mesage means and what is
the likely cause.

This appears to be a true Win2000 problem (based on the fact that all references to the error refer to W2000 only), and the "best" explaination is at - "How to Debug "Stop 0xC2" or "Stop 0x000000C2" Error Messages". If you have installed Win2000 SP 2 on both the workstations and the server, then I think your only hope is to call MS - lots of luck.
