My application was working fine for quite some time. After installing service pack 5, a few of my select statements stopped working on certain machines. Of course, it was working on my machine prior to distributing the exe to my client, but quit working on my one of my client's machines, yet worked on other client's machines. It was working on ALL machines prior to the update. Has anyone experienced this? If so, do you know what is causing the sudden difference on different machines? It doesn't matter whether the selection is based on a character or number. set ansi is on and set exact is on. If the client has not updated to MDAC 2.6, would this effect data selects?

Hi
Have you distributed the run time libraries after applying the SP5. Not installing the SP5 along with executable distribution can create all this problem. You must have applied the SP5 in all units.

Hope this helps you.

Ramani,
You've got my vote of the week. Yes it does help because I do not use VFP's installation, and I have installed service pack 5 on my machine. Can I assume that MDAC 2.6 will resolve these issues on all machines?

Thanks in advance

You will have to distribute the VFP6r.dll and Vfp6renu.dll from your machine (SP5) to the others. This will probably solve your problem.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you -- pointing out the exact files helps a lot!
