Hi all

We recently changed the IP address of our DNS Server and made some minor changes to the DNS Forwarders on our NT4SP6 server. Since this time large amounts of DNS requests are being generated by the DNS server with a destiantion of the Internet Root Servers - this has made our usage go upto about 100Gb per day, this is 5 times our normal usage. As a temporary measure we have blocked these requests at the Firewall to limit the damage. Does anyone know why this might have happened or the fix. Most DNS requests should be handeled by the DNS server of our "up-stream" which is set in our forwarders in DNS.
Any help would be appreaciated.
