I am new to vertitas filesystem.

when I do
Code:
vxprint -h]
, what does the 'LENGTH' field mean? According to the manual, it means the # of 'sectors'.

Is this correct?

You should trust the manual

BTW
there are 512 bytes per sector

schu: Thanks, thats what I was looking for. # of bytes per sector.

512bytes /sector - is this true for all drives ?
